Hi,
After some weeks where everything worked perfectly fine, yesterday the tape did not come out.
I am using a daily tape rotation as explained in the manual:

Does anybody have experience with bacula been used to backup an Oracle
database
in a Windows 2003 server with vss enabled.
We have a customer who wishes to backup his oracle database to a remote
server so we would backup his main server and restore that in the remote
server every day.

--disable-gconsole is not an option when using rpmbuild. Did you mean
something like --define "disable_gconsole 1" or something like that?

I'm working on finalizing my setup of bacula. I have all of my clients
appearing to backup successfully. Each client is provided with an individual
storage device (I'm backing up to files broken out by client directories) so
that I can have multiple clients backing up at the same time.

I've attached the updated version of the script here and uploaded it to the

Steve,
I wouldn't count myself as an expert at Bacula, but I will try to answer
your question. Others can chime in if I have overlooked something.
To answer your question, is should be possible indeed. Since the fd.conf

Sorry, two questions in one day... :)
Is it possible to have two directors backup one host? (Not at the same

This little problem seems to come up repeatedly.
To solve it simply add a RunBeforeJob that does a ping of the workstation
before performing the actual job.
RunBeforejob = "/usr/sbin/ping "
should do it (add any other params to ping that take your fancy.
Thus you use ping to determine your tim
Dear All
Is there a Timeout option so that the server does not wait 30 minutes when
a workstation is off line or not powered on. This is a frequent situation
I encounter when trying to backup laptops during the day.
I would like to set the limit to 5 minutes.
Thanks
