is it possible to give a client access to the director (via bsonsole)
but restrict this access to only do restores? I want the admins of some
machines to be able to start restores for their machines on their own.
But they should not be able to label new tapes, delete jobs or something

On my Debian Sarge with kernel 2.6.12.6 I use udev. Permission on device
mountpoint are defined in /etc/udev/permissions.rules
I edit this file and insert the line below at end of file :

I have just successfully rebuilt an XP Pro PC (eg baremetal restore)
using bacula, in order to resize the main partition.
The backup procedure was just a standard bacula backup using the 1.38.9
win32 fd from sourceforge and with VSS enabled. The rest of bacula is

I just found the list but have been using Bacula for about 6 months
now. Great backup software!! I am having a problem that is frustrating
me. This seemed to begin after I upgraded.
When I try to manually purge and recycle a volume I am running into a

I can't say for your specific case but I have a TL892 and I know I did
play around a little with the settings before I got it to work properly.
For me it was set so that when a tape is unloaded it did automatically
load next, this did of course cause some issues for bacula which was
