Hello,
I cannot cancel a restoration job which is waiting for a mount.
I have an autochanger, and the tape is not in the changer.
So, I want to cancel the job.
The documentation states:
If the Job is waiting on a tape mount, you may need to
do a mount command before it will be canceled.
But I
I am running bacula 2.4.3 with an IBM TS3100 autochanger. The setup has
been running fine for a year, but we've recently added a third tape to
each pool, and since then bacula happy writes to the first two tapes,
but then refuses to go any further, even though the third tape has

i can confirm this problem,
bacula loads the slot where the tape is last seen,
even if the inchanger flag ist set to 0.
(you can find more about my problem in Re: [Bacula-users] Restore Bug? on
20.10.2008.)
i think this is a bug.
Best Regards
Thomas

Anybody knows if some big company uses bacula ?

Hello,
I was trying to test out the new Bacula plugin for Exchange used in
the Bacula 2.5.16 Beta version. I installed, configured, and ran a test
against a Test Exchange server which ran fine, but did not do anything
with the plugin. I did not see any references to the plugin being
A workaround I have found is to set the slot number to 0 (using update volumes);
thus, when restoring, bacula finds a bad slot number and asks immediately for
intervention:

Volume NF0020L3 on Drive-1 (/dev/nst0).

I have over 200 users with about 20 TB's of data that we backup. And I have
a problem...
THE PROBLEM
The concept of backup is starting to lose it's meaning with desktops
sporting 1.5 TB drives. How can we stay abreast (sp?) of backing up ever
increasing drive sizes in workstations?

What is your config for recyle?
Ah! Thanks hugely.
I used 'update' to set the recycle flag manually and that's now working.
I'll have a look at my config files and see
Folks,
Is anyone running dir and sd on Mac OS X Leopard?
I have four Macs at home and I am thinking of using a Mac mini (G4) as bacula

network) drive. Before I try to compile bacula on Mac I wanted to find out if
I've had the cert file double quoted and unquoted.
Pretty much the same result.
Maybe I need to step back and ask: what are the steps to get bacula-fd
running on Windows with TLS?
Does anyone have a basic primer or how-to out there who has actually
done it?
Do you have to install OpenSSL

I used Bacula to archive some old Hi8 video files to LTO-2 tapes (HP

However, now I plan to use Postgres for some other stuff and decided
