Hi John,
Thanks for the great advice, I have managed to lable all the tapes with label
barcodes and see the following in the volume list now:

Hello all.
Bacula-5.0.2
I have such pool definition:
Pool {
Name = host.domain.org
Pool Type = Backup
Recycle = yes
AutoPrune = yes
Volume Retention = 7 days
UseVolumeOnce = yes
Maximum Volumes = 7
Label Format = host.domain.org-
}
But now I have 7 volumes in status
Ther's something wrong!
I have changed the retention on Client:
*Client {
Name = db-fd
Password = Passxxx
Address = db
FDPort = 9102
Catalog = MyCatalog
File Retention = 6 days
Job Retention = 6 days
}
*
I have this log today:
*09-Aug 20:00 storage-dir JobId 9020: Begin pruning
Just when I started to make some progress ...
When I try run a job I get the following:
vish.com-sd Please mount Volume LT1000L1 or label a new one for#58;
nbsp; nbsp; Job#58;nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;
vish.2010-08-10_08.05.52_14
nbsp; nbsp; Storage#58;nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; Tape
I think I have understood wrong when I translate from english to Italian
File and job retention are use to destroy the data, but if Volume have
retention period less than them purge the catalog too!!
Now I had used a dump to restore the DB and bscan to add the new volumes

Hi,
I have some doubts regarding the proper method to backup the backup
server itself and the database.
From what I understand, I need to configure a file daemon @ the backup
server, back up whatever I'm interested in, and run the catalog backup
job after everything else has run, while

I finally made it to the forum (instead of the mailing list) so I could read
your output.
For the last problem type mount. If that does not work type status storage and
select tape and post the output.

Hello,
I'm backing up a server in Germany from a director in The Netherlands.
Using bacula, I can't seem to get past ~3000KB/s.
Here's an iperf result:
[ 3] local [fd-addr] port 16625 connected with [dir-addr] port 5001
[ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth
[ 3] 0.0-10.1 sec110

It looks like you are running a 64-bit bacula-sd, so the libraries
should be in /usr/lib64.
The files you found are in /usr/lib, which are normally 32-bit.
Either you have the 32-bit libraries installed by accident or
