You should only need to label the tape, not erase it.

We had this exact same issue restoring on Windows with 5.2.6 as well
(backups worked fine). Downgrading to 5.0.3 for the windows client
fixed it (my research showed a known bug that will hopefully be in the
next release).

Allthough related, this is not a bacula issue. Trying to get
Bacula working with an Overland Neo8000e changer I have
got mtx status/load/unload to work and "mt" reports
the tapes as excected. The Changer is connected using SAS.
But the time it takes for status/load/unload is about 2 minutes p

The go to different storage devices which are of the same media type (File) &
use the same Archive Device (/data1). Is the problem that they are writing to
