Doesn't backing up the catalog into a Bacula Pool of volumes defeat the purpose
as it would be inconvenient to retrieve the catalog in the case of failure?
Sure it could be useful to have a catalog snapshow, but in the event of failure
perhaps it would be useful to store just a synced version of
hi!
Please forgive newbyness I've been working on getting Bacula up and running
across a network backing up to a hard drive on a "server" machine for both
itself and a couple of other PCs.
My "server" is a RAID1 configuration using Ubuntu 12.04.
So far I've sorted out network connectivity betwee
I think it is not very good choice. You can upgrade your bacula-dir to
5.2.13 from http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/slaanesh/bacula/ repo.

I have the same issue. There is no way I think, only custom script can
help. It can be good feature request for bacula developers.
BTW, you must not delete job by id's. It is sufficient to purge volumes.

Hello Bacula Enthusiast,
One of my backup client has a lot of files, so we decided a year ago only to
backup this client 2 times a year. With a file/job delete policy of 190 days.
And this turned out to work well.
But there is one issue with housekeeping,
I have a lot of incremental backups wh
Hi,
I have a director on centos 5 running version 2.0.3-10.el5.
I have a number of fd on centos 5 running the same version.
I'd like to now back up a centos 6 machine but I can't get 2.X on it only
version 5.
I'm assuming this isn't compatible, is there any way of making this work and
