I have a replication among two datacenters and I use a copy job to copy
all backups from datacenter A to B. The thing is that BW is getting
short and I want to know if is possible to compress the data sent by the
network to the second storage daemon.

Hi,
I've moved the director to a new server and thus changed the client for
the restore jobs. The thing is though I have loaded the changes, and
even choose the client manually for the restore, bacula still delivers
the files to the client declared in the backup job.
If I change the client of the
Hi Kern,
Thank you. I thought that the error with the job was related with the
fileset not been in the database, but then it's the other way arround.

Hi,
I've created new filesets to backup new servers but though they are
in the bacula-dir.conf and I've reloaded the config, but the
filesets are not been created in the database and thus, are not

Hi,
Sorry for the delay, but I'm now trying to reproduce the problem and I
get other problems. ASAP I can get back to the original error, I'll let
you know.

Hi,
I'm using bacula 5.0.3 on Centos 4 and I had to add recently a couple of
new filesets and though I reload the director config they don't get into
the database and thus if I run a job using those filesets, I get an error.
Can anyone give me a help with this?

Hi John,
I don't think I can use it that way if it interferes with the proper
operation.

Hi there,
I'm installing Bacula with a TS3100 tape library from IBM and I'm
managed to get it to load, unload and label the tapes. The problem
is when I try to backup bacula complaints that it has no device in
the SD.
I've followed every guide in the baculas's we
Dear Michael,
You're right, after several runs I forgot to place the flag and then
just copied the command and never saw it missing. That's why it's no
longer creating the record, Anyway, the error continues.
The right output is:
bscan -m -s -v -c /etc/bacula/bacula-sd.conf -V Peliculas0001 /dev
David,
bacula-dir.conf
Hi Konstantin,
First of all, thanks for your reply.
I've read the post you mention and is not related. I'm trying to recover
a job that is in one tape and the problem is that I get the job rescaned
into the database but with errors.
Reading other posts with problems with bscan I've set all retenti
Hi,
This is the second time I ask (as the first was nobody answered). I
accidentally purged/pruned (by autorecycling the tape) the tape. I'm now trying
to recover it to the database with bscan but
the job appears as "finished with errors". I followed the "utility
manual" instructions but still ca
Hi,
I'm a newbee to bacula and I had autorecycle=yes on a pool that should
not be recycled. I had a tape recycled and all the jobs purged and I'm
trying to recover the jobs to the database. The thing is that I used
bscan -sSm -V volname DRIVE and it fixes the used space of the tape,

Hi,
I have a pool that had recycle enabled and thus, a tape that had valid backups
was set as recycled and all the jobs in the tape
(and the next 2 that shared a job) were "deleted" from the database. I need to
know how to restore the jobs back to the database.

Hi guys,

John,
thanks for your answer.
The only lines I find in dmesg for the tape are:

Hi,
I'm new to bacula and I'm using LTO 5 of 1,5 TB uncompressed to backup.
The thing is that I only can get it to write 50GB and it sets to full.
The tape drive is a Dell Powervault LTO-5-140 (that is really an IBM
Ultrium-HH5) and I'm using Bacula 5.03 compiled on Red Hat 5.6.
