Hi Michael,
Against my statement in [1] I have seen several timeouts with failed jobs.
I have changed my tape library configuration to only notify me, if a
cleaning requests raised by a tape drive. All jobs will still run
(hopefully with correct data on tape, because the drive is still able to
c/bacula/bacula-sd.conf -v -V
After this I have records for all three jobs, but only one record in
JobMedia for this tape. A regular tape (without bscan) has serveral
records in JobMedia. Anything wrong with my bscan command?

Hi Gary,
Could you post the log information of the particular job?
Could you post the commands you have used for the restore and the output?
Thanks

A OpenBSD Bacula File Daemon with TLS enabled works only if started in

makes sense to get a full list of all files of this backup.
So, it's possible to restore only job and media data for the catalog and
not files?
Is bscan the right tool?
Thanks,

Thank you for the explanation. In the status output from the storage

@Patti: Thank you also for your very good explanation.

Ok, this will end in slow restore times. It's possible to prevent this
behaviour?

To prevent this behaviour, should I set the Maximum Concurrent Jobs on the
Device level to 1? But I think this will prevent the concurrent execution
of jobs using the same device.

It's the despooling rate.
For this example backup (a file server) bacula wrote 1.9 TByte of data to the
first tape, so compression seems to work.
B

85 MByte/s. We use dataspool to local 15k SAS drives to feed the tape drive. Do
you have real backup job throughput rates?

adding of the remaining tapes and update slots the status slots command is
wrong again.
BAT displays the status correctly (Storage -> TL4000-Storage).
For me it seems like a bug in bconsole status slots command -> bug 0001902
