Which retention are you talking about? Volume retention is not guaranteed. You
should not rely on it for restoring.

Are you sure that your catalog is named bacula? By default it's named

Bacula works with disk volumes similarly as it does with tape volumes.
Therefore, when truncating, it needs to mount the volume in a free drive to
write some metadata on it. If you have no available drive, bacula can't operate.
To solve this issue you probably need to declare a second drive like

I'm trying to setup Volume Encryption with self-compiled Bacula 15 from
source (Branch-15.0) following this doc

So I've set something like this in bacula-sd.conf
I answer to myself as I forgot to enable SSL and install libssl and
openssl when compiling.
Nevertheless, the correct directive is "Volume Encryption" rather than
"Block Encryption" as stated in the doc file.
