Hello,
I have a strange issue with bacula and systemd and was hoping someone
might have an answer.
We have create a bacula systemd file (which I will post below). The
issue is, if I warm boot the machine (reboot) it works fine. If I cold

Has anyone successfully built Bacula 5.2.13 for OSX 10.11 with TLS enabled?
I have built 5.2.13 on 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9 and 10.10 without issues
and it works great.
It does build on 10.11 but I can not get it to run. I get the error:
Fatal error: TLS required but not configured in Bacula.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has written a bacula query that you can
run to find out what clients haven't been backed up within a certain
time period? If so could you share? I'm not an SQL guy which is why I
am asking.
Thank you,
mike

Kern, this is something that I have wanted to take since I started using

I have bacula v5.0.3 and Vchanger woring well for a few months now. I
noticed in one of my backup job logs that there was an error with a
volume so bacula marked the volume as Error in the catalog. I did a
little looking around and I found that quite a few of my volumes have

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me out with an issue.
I've been testing Bacula 5.0.3 and Vchanger for a few months now,
everything is working good and I hope to put this into production very
soon. For the past few months I have only been backing up a small
handful of machines, I'm
I'm trying to get TLS working with bacula, I'm following the
instructions on this web site:

I came to this statement "Repeat this certificate creation steps -
create a key, csr and cert - for each of your clients and directors"
My question is, is it pos

I'm almost ready with putting bacula into production but I'm still
debugging a few things and one of them is the "Device" line in my bacula
mail reports, and I was hoping someone could help me with this.
I'm running disk-based backups. Bacula 5.0.3, Vchanger 0.8.6 and a

Is there a way I can delete multiple volumes from the database?
I've tried entering multiple MediaID's and multiple volume names on the
bconsole command line but it doesn't work.. or I'm not doing it
correctly. :-)
Thanks!

When backing up to a disk/RAID system, how do you guys mirror your
raid array? If you were to mirror in real-time and something got
corrupted it could cause problems on your mirror. Do you mirror once a
day? What software do you use to mirror your array? is rsync good enough?

My last thread on this list degenerate
I wonder if it's because I have a different "media type" for each of
my drives in the sd.conf file? I thought the media type option needed
to be a different name.

Name = disk1
Media Type = File1
Archive Device = /export/disk1

I'm still on my quest to get bacula to write data to more than one
disk drive.. I have a 16-bay JBOD unit. I was pointed to "vchanger" but
as bacula is a bit complicated already, I don't want to add a 3rd party
program into the mix as well (unless I have to). I also have to believe

Hello, I'm currently testing bacula v5.0.3 and so far so good. One

Bacula - Turn off software compression.
Switch and Network Cards - If you are fully gigabit and your equipment
supports it, turn on jumbo frames.
I'm testing Bacula, so this is not a production setup and I ran into
an issue, problem, bug, I'm not sure. During my testing, I'm backing up
a file system of about 700gb to a disk. A FULL backup took around 21
hours with compression turned on. While this was happening the

looking to convert to Bacula.
I've download the Bacula source and built in on Red
