We are creating a new Hyper-V 2016 VM guest for Bacula (Ubuntu 18.04
LTS) and was wonder what the latest and greatest version of Bacula is at

I'm no way a db expert, but we use Bacula on Ubuntu 18.04 with
Postgresql 10 with no issues. We had the same issue but just used
pg_upgradecluster and pg_dropcluster to migrate to v10.

Just be aware that 5.2.6 that comes with some Linux distros (Ubuntu for
example), the 'dbcheck' program doesn't work. However it is fixed I
believe in 5.2.13. But I haven't found a PPA or other method for
upgrading to the latest version in Ubuntu short of compile from source

Copy/Migrations are limited to 1 SD. So both pools must reside on the same SD.
We had looked at using the COPY to copy jobs offsite (to another SD) but this
limitation prevents that. So, we just copy from disk to tape and take them
offsite for now.
