This is an OS issue and not a Bacula issue. The message clearly says
that Bacula cannot find the file

me, despite the fact that Postgres is a bit harder to initially

It is probably because the default polling interval has been changed
from 30 mins to 5 mins. Set the polling interval very long and perhaps
the problem will go away. If it does, I would be interested to know,
because then it should be relatively easy to fix.

We had hoped to release the next major version of Bacula about now, but
four points have come up:
1. I (Kern) took a long deserved lengthy vacation for several months
beginning in February.
2. There is now a huge amount of fixes (some included in 7.4.1

the dump (a lot of money down the drain).
I have had quite a few autochangers over the years (probably 5 or 6)

were the only autochangers that ever failed.

Run bconsole with -d100 on the command line. That should produce debug

Yes, non-standard SQL makes devloper's lives much more complicated.

Well this is one step forward for Postgres, though it would require a
database change ...
Now lets see what comes up for MySQL

I can imagine several possible problems:
1. You may be using the tape drive rather than scsi the control channel.
2. VTLs do not always emulate hardware correctly.
3. You may be using a scsi control channel that points to something
other than an autochanger.

Hello,
Yes, it is the list_result() function in src/cats/sql.c that is a very
generic routine for outputting "list" results. I personally cannot be
of much help, but there are a good number of SQL experts using Bacula.

Hello,
That may be a solution. I am not particularly worried about SQLite as it
is no longer supported. However, what I do need is a patch that will
work for both MySQL (MariaDB as well) and PostgreSQL.
Some sort of stored function may also be appropriate.

Hello Heitor,
One of the basic design conditions for Bacula is that as much as
possible that goes into it officially should be understandable and
maintainable by an average C/C++ programmer. Once things start getting
complicated, I slow down ...

Thanks. I have pushed the fix to the public git repository. If you find
that it does not fix your problem, please let me know.
