I suppose you're still barely alive. :)
Running bacula directly (bacula-dir) instead of through the init
script will at least show you which line it is having problems with,
and the particular directive it finds amusing. If you could please
post the config file (paste it into the mail

It is nearly impossible to determine the problem without you either
directly executing bacula-dir from the shell perhaps with debug
messages on or posting the last few lines of the log file.
