I would start at a lower level than that.
Are you 100% sure /dev/sg6 is your autochanger?
tapeinfo -f /dev/sg6
will tell you.

I did have 2 Autochangers (L200 - 8 Tapes) and I used to be able to
issue within bconsole issue an update slots command, which seemed to
work fine (it would report 8 slots) - worked for both units and ran

a few weeks ago, i did in fact read the pertinent sections of the manual
regarding "Maximum Concurrent Jobs". i changed what it told me to change
in the configs, but i was still getting the same result as now.
btw, i did restart the daemons after the config change in case someone
was goin

...but, jobs still seem to run in serial... any thoughts?

You do know there are 5 places that Maximum Concurrent Jobs can be
set depending on what concurrency you wnat to allow with each daemon?
Although I believe in your case you probably only need it in the main

should i increase that number? fyi, i just noticed that two concurrent
backup jobs do in fact run, but only for the _same_ host. it is weird.
