Is there any reference to circumcision in the Baha'i Writings? It is part of
Judaism and Islam (depending on what hadiths you read). The central figures
lived in Islamic soceities where both male and female circumcision were
commonplace.

commonplace in Iran or under the Ottoman Empire. According to most
Islamic scholars it is not recommended or obligatory. The Shafi school

He's slightly left of center. He's not criticizing the concept as much as the
current proposed solutions. He says that they're ineffective, ineffecient, and
taking money away from other noble causes, but to be sure the book is the best
source of info on his views.
