The Baha'i Studies Listserv Dear Friends, I read a comment recently (on the Baha’i Library website – provisionals/Aqdas) that said, “this transliteration is grammatical, not oral.” Is it possible to briefly explain this distinction? How did Shoghi Effendi transliterate Baha’u’lláh’s Arabic? Was it grammatical, oral or both? Please forgive my ignorance. This subject is very new to me.
I don’t mean to confuse the issue but I heard that the pronunciation of some of Baha’u’lláh’s Arabic is uncertain at this time. Any comments on this? Thank you, Larry __________________________________________________ You are subscribed to Baha'i Studies as: mailto:arch...@mail-archive.com Unsubscribe: send a blank email to mailto:leave-514680-274...@list.jccc.edu Subscribe: send subscribe bahai-st in the message body to ly...@list.jccc.edu Or subscribe: http://list.jccc.edu:8080/read/all_forums/subscribe?name=bahai-st Baha'i Studies is available through the following: Mail - mailto:bahai-st@list.jccc.edu Web - http://list.jccc.edu:8080/read/?forum=bahai-st News (on-campus only) - news://list.jccc.edu/bahai-st Old Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/bahai...@list.jccc.net New Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/bahai-st@list.jccc.edu
