Background
The idea
for this workshop originated in a discussion between IASI and the Minister of
Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia on 26 August 2005 in
Berlin. Agreement persisted on the high need to reinforce Indonesian-German
cooperation in the fields of Biotechnology, Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) and Alternative Energy with the aim to support implementation
of these technologies in Indonesia
Workshop
Objectives
- To formulate proposals for projects in the field of
Biotechnology, ICT and Alternative Energy (for implementation in
Indonesia)
- To agree on terms of cooperation between IASI e.V. and
institutions present at the workshop for the actual design and
implementation of these projects.
- Presentation of schemes for funding R&D and other
projects.
- To
distribute Workshop results as a contribution to Indonesian development in
the field of Biotechnology, ICT and Alternative Energy

The Workshop Committee invites
abstracts of:
- Proposals
for projects of joint research
- Proposals
for projects in German-Indonesian cooperation
- Suggestions for technology
transfer
- Projects
for sustainable development
- Initiatives for capacity
building
- Contributions to increase
national competitiveness
in the field of Biotechnology,
Information and Communication Technology and Alternative Energy. Project
design should foresee future implementation in Indonesia on the basis of
German-Indonesian cooperation.
