Hi,
Some days ago i have changed permissions (acl) of files on my nas. This
share is backed up by bareos-fd 18.2.5 directly. Today i have found that
disk space utilization in bareos-sd data directory is surprisingly high. It
looks like permission change resulted in whole files being backed up agai
Hi,
Some time ago i have made a simple benchmark by coping bareos volumes on
deduplication enabled ZFS volume. I have used bareos volumes from
incremental jobs without encryption enabled in hope of saving some disk
space. Unfortunately afaik Bareos interleaves it's metadata in every single
data bl

Hi,
There is something like this in a logfile :
PHP is PHP-NOTFOUND
PHP not found
Are you sure it is strictly related to ceph ? It is possible that php is an
dependency for bareos-ui build.

How many cpu cores/threads does this server have ?
Theese numbers you have posted , are they a global load (sum of all cores)
or one distinct core utilized by bare

Hi,
I have tried to start vchanger long time ago but i found it a bit too
complex. Since then i am running following configuration:

Hi,
I was successfully running Bareos 17.2 for two months after trying 18.2 (it
was unstable when i have tested it). I do have some older pieces of
hardware. Before installation of 18.2 my backup jobs was able to saturate
1Gbe ling without any problem. Now since i run 18.2 i have TLS-PSK enabled

I am having a similar problem with my own laptops. For now i have ended up
in a conclusion that this problem should be splited into two separated
cases:
1) Network connectivity
2) Backup (re)scheduling
First one should be simply solved by introducing vpn. Another point is
bareos architectutre and
shape ?

Hi,
What i have learned about ceph is that it might benefit from kernel tuning:
(example)
vm.swappiness=1
vm.dirty_background_ratio=1
vm.dirty_ratio=10
vm.dirty_expire_centisecs=1000
vm.dirty_writeback_centisecs=25
For hosts running old OSD nodes (those using filesystems , not bluestore) you

Good afternoon !
Yesterday i have installed a small home deployment of Bareos 18.4.1. I have
found that there is a new feature called TLS-PSK so we do have encription
enabled by default right now.
Since i run this small home deployment i can afford more liberal security
approach. Currently jo
