Dear lute friends, there will be an experimental on-line internet concert next Saturday 16 April in Finnish Summer time 18:00, which should be 15:00 (=3:00pm) in GMT (=UCT), which should be 16:00 London Summer time, etc... Perhaps you can calculate your local time? And the recording will stay in the page (see below) also afterwards.
The concert is actually a real concert with real audience, it just will be also broadcast to the Net same time. Anyhow, there will be 2 singers, viola da gamba and theorbo, Italian early baroque, mainly Monteverdi. I do not know, how the technology works and what will be the quality of sound and video, not to speak of the quality of our playing/singing... Quite exciting, actually! Our ensemble "Alta/Bassa" will actually be kind of "warm-up" band for a couple of Finnish viola da gamba heroes (Markku Luolajan-Mikkola, Mikko Perkola), but they did not want to join our bambuser-experiment.
