Dear Collective Wisdom, A 1694 collection of violin+continuo sonatas by Johann Paul von Westhoff contains a movement entitled IMITAZIONE DEL LIUTO (as the 3rd movement of the 2nd sonata in d-moll, in the collection). The said piece bears (more than) striking resemblance to SLWeiss' Gigue from the Sonata #7. Has anybody ever noticed this before? RT
