Hi,
That's so wonderful to see that. Is Batik 1.5b2 SVG 1.1 compliant?
Does it do text wrapping specified in SVG 1.1?

Just
wondering if there is anyway to write wrapper classes for all the drawing
instructions of Batik, so we can easily port it to other platforms or languages
such as .NET in C# using GDI+

pizzabox-like thin servers from Dell (they are just about $400 for 128MB
RAM and 1.1Ghz Celeron) If you only run Batik on it, I would install
Linux so the OS will leave lots of room for Java and Batik.
Hope this helps.

so converting some bitmaps to vector images could help though I know it
may not be applicable for photos.

away using SVG as that may take up some unnecessary rasterization
for drawing such element on the screen. Putting all icons in a similar
format could help maintain the system stability and maintainability.
Just my 2 cents.

In the line above, I allocate 256MB for Batik to start with, and
optionally Batik can use up to 512MB of RAM.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
I am going to run some extremely high-resolution rasterization test
using Batik. I would like to test it against couple SVG files that has
various complexity. Any suggestions?

P.S. The test will involve the comparison of rasterizing the SVG

I wonder if anyone has any clue or insides about this.

Hi group,
I wonder if anyone has installed Batik 1.1.1 and the latest JDK 1.4 yet.
Are they compatible with each other? How about performance?
Thanks!
