I would like to export my bbdb to google's gmail contacts. I see that they support importing from outlook CSV format, and bbdb supports outputting to that format, so I tried to make that work. I was running a fairly old bbdb so I crabbed the latest from CVS and installed it. When I ran the new bbdb the first time it asked me if I wanted to convert my bbdb to v6 and I said yes.
Then I installed bbdb-rf.el from http://www.robf.de/Hacking/elisp/bbdb-rf.el and did a M-x bbdb MYPATTERN RETURN to create the *BBDB* buffer. Finally, I executed M-x bbdb-csv-export and got the following error: cond: Field type 'birthday' is undefined for your BBDB! Interestingly, I note in bbdb-rf.el's comments that ;; Revision 1.15 2003/10/12 09:07:55 fenk ;; - Handle undefined fields in `bbdb-csv-export' gracefully if they are not though it doesn't appear to be working gracefully for me!
