intermittently, running rmail. It hasn't happened for
a week or two, however. My .bbdb file has about 2500 entries.

Since I upgraded from EMACS 19.27 -> 19.29, I've noticed one odd thing
about rmail/bbdb. I seem to keep getting asked if I want to replace a
name (in the bbdb database) with itself. For example, suppose I have a
record with my own name, "Richard Stanton" and email address
"
Normally, BBDB's completion feature inserts an address of the form
Name
However, I have one address where all I get is the email address. The
email address itself has the form firstname_lastname@host, so I guess
there's no loss of information. Is this meant to happen?

If I get rid of the reference to gnus-Article-prepare-hook, everything
is fine. In other words, somehow when I start gnus in graphics mode,
gnus-article-prepare-hook seems to be defined before nntp.el gets
loaded. This is not the case when I start in text mode. Very odd...

his field shows rather odd,
complicated routings that don't work when I merely "reply" to them,
and instead I have to type an alternative e-mail address manually. It
would be very useful to have BBDB notice the From: address, then allow
you to use the default e-mail address in the reply.

BBDB
wasn't there, a new window half the height of the screen would open,
which is rather better...)
Has anyone got a simple solution to this (ideally I'd just start
composing/replying in the same window that I was originally using to
view my incoming mail)?

Re: the odd change in the bbdb display when I saved a message from
rmail using "o".
I notice that the name it changed to was actually the correct entry
for the message from another mail file that was being displayed in
another buffer (NOT the main rmail buffer).

it had
previously been displaying the sender of the message. Not so fine.

I just sent mail to a large group of people, including me. The format
of the To: field was
To: name1,
name2,
etc.
me
etc.
When I received this, BBDB thought it was from name1. Odd. I don't
have bbdb-user-mail-names set (or whatever it's called).
