I get the following backtrace when (auto)loading bbdb via jka-compr/jka-load. Signalling: (error "Reading from killed buffer") eval-buffer(#<killed buffer>) load("bbdb-gnus" nil nil nil) apply(load ("bbdb-gnus" nil nil nil)) jka-compr-handler(load "bbdb-gnus" nil nil nil) bbdb-insinuate-gnus() funcall(bbdb-insinuate-gnus) mapcar(funcall ((lambda nil (require ...)) bbdb-insinuate-gnus)) run-hooks(gnus-startup-hook) byte-code("@ gnus(nil) * call-interactively(gnus) execute-extended-command(nil) call-interactively(execute-extended-command) It doesn't seem to matter whether the bbdb-files are compressed or not. Loading bbdb-com before loading jka-load (and thus getting the standard emacs loads) seems to cure the problem. GNU Emacs 19.22, SPARCstation 10, SunOS 4.1.3. Has anyone had similar problems, or could someone tell me how to go about making a more complete investigation of the problem? -- Hevard Fosseng [EMAIL PROTECTED]
