I've resolved both the menu bar and cmd-ctrl-F issues.  The menu bar
issue "just went away", and cmd-ctrl-F was being eaten by Evernote
(focus wasn't changing, which is why it wasn't obvious).  Unmapping
the global shortcuts in Evernote restored the keystroke to BBedit.
