[beagleboard] No IP Address on new image (Rev C)

So I take a new Rev C board. Works fine with the April Deb image out of the box (bone47). Get IP address fine. Went through the process of installing the May Deb image (bone50) Start up the new image and it does not obtain an IP address; all conditions are the same. Is it the image? Phil --

[beagleboard] GPIO_40 vs PWM

I attempting to use GPIO_40 on P9_14 It is not responding as other GPIO pins are. My assumption is that since it is dual purpose with PWM1A that the PWM is keeping it from being used as a GPIO digital output pin. How can I stop the PWM process that is keeping GPIO_40 from working? thanks, Phil --
