I have a BeagleBone Black Rev C.

I am installing the Bluetooth Low Energy software using the Kevin Townsend 
Tutorial.  Everything seemed to be working OK until I got to the point of 
verifying the Beacon.  I used the Beacon Tool I downloaded onto my iPhone 6 
and it could not detect it.  I also used an Android Sniffer app which found 
my Roku player but not my BeagleBone Black dongle.  I tried the dongle on 
my computer and it works fine.  I used another dongle and got the same 
result: no beacon.

*So, I am wondering if there is a software switch that I need to activate 
to get the Beacon mode to become active?*

Below is what I entered, the feedback as well as testing to make sure that 
the dongle was up and running.
