So for my understanding https://github.com/beagleboard/linux is the location of kernel used in BBB and 3.8 (current stable) https://github.com/RobertCNelson/linux-stable-rcn-ee/compare/v3.8.13...3.8.13-bone66 3.14 (next stable)
