It's a problem with the Greens.

I get the clear plastic one from Seeed Studio and don't use the sides or 
top.  So only the bottom plastic side is used, + 4 spacers and bolts.

So you get a little protection for the bottom side of the board when it is 
setting on the desk.  You could put some stick on rubber feet to keep it 
from sliding around.
It might be possible to not use the folding lid.

The problem is even worse with the Green Wireless.

Another thing which will work, but again is not a true enclosure:

This will allow another board to be bolted next to the Beaglebone.  Then 
the assembly can be bolted to something else.
I've got one of these with a BBGW and a solid state switch board mounted, 
and then the whole thing is bolted to the inside of a water tight enclosure.
