(BBBW, you know what I mean...Cloud9) "I just need it to like do the stuff in paint...no, no I don't need Photoshop, I just need enough to crop and rotate an image and maybe put come lines and text on it and then save it to 90 x 90 in JPEG so I can get my avatar right."
The answer is: KolorPaint - just install from the Store thingy...it seems to be a pretty good clone of Microsoft Paint. This is how this thread works, the usual's fine, but keep adding information here and we'll decide a winner based on what the user's think is the best PRACTICAL paint program for UN*X systems. You can talk about photoshop-like programs, but no ones that requires a masters degree in C and months of chasing down libraries, but the photoshop-like ones will be considered for honorable mention.
