Hi, I have an investment in a mutual fund that has been converted from one commodity to another. I'm trying to represent that in my ledger with a sale of the first commodity (it's a total match sale as everything is sold) and then a buy of the second one (that's how it appears on the statement)

Martin, thanks! I learned something today. There now a question as to why brokers do not calculate this correctly, provided there is even an Excel formula, but this is another story. P.S. may be it makes sense to update the Calculating Portfolio Returns
