Sorry, but I am not sure what to do. I have sent a script to an individual which works
fine on my pc (w2k), but when run on dec/alpha setup fails. I assume it has to do
with end of line, but unsure what to do?
I sent as a straight attachment. The script was renamed on the other machine
and run as:
perl sorted.pl
The script was sent back and I used the script straight away(came as an
attachment) after saving to disk. Worked as it should.
Should I send script as compressed or does the script need a oneliner to
change end of lines.
The script has __DATA__ for reading of the data. I output three lines telling
what you read and what is loaded. ALL are zeroes(that is why I assume end of line).
Help?
