Hi... I was hoping to use Perl to invoke the MS utility "diskpart" to script some disk management, especially in order to rename drives and partitions. Unfortunately, diskpart is an XP utility-- on Win2K, I can use diskpart to strip the letter from the drive, but attempting to assign a new letter yields an error msg. that "this operation is not supported on your version of Windows". Does anyone know if Perl is capable of stripping/assigning drive letters on Windows 2000? And if so, how? Or where I could read more? -Chris PS Any other pointers to Perl-on-Windows would be helpful-- I have "Learning Perl on Win32 Systems", but I'm a Windows newbie and further information is always helpful...
