Maybe try to run it as a system command.
my $programtorun = 'ls';
my @parameters= qw/. ../;
my @cmdline = ( $programtorun, @parameters );
system (@cmdline);
It can be a bit tricky getting all the parameters to
your system command
to be quoted properly, try a little
