I use a 10 yr. old "Blue" Flexi leash. It has always
been able to hold a Berner (we are on our 3rd BMD, 2
rehomes and an SPCA rescue). The first BMD worked that
leash for all it was worth - in & out, in & out. The
2nd was the best dog I ever walked on leash (former
owner "sent" him to Ob

Well, he's a Berner-Mix not a pure bred. He
has the looks of a Berner, but no Rust markings
and his kennel tag said mixed. So the paper was
wrong.
He seems like a sweet guy though, if anyone in
the Williamsburg area is interested.

All,
Headed for the door and wife Linda informs me
that shelter doesn't open till noon.
In the meantime, Nanook and I are going up to
Duke of Gloucester street for a walk - so he
will quit following me around. He knows that
today is Saturday, since the rountine is different
from a weekday :-)

I get up this A.M., walk Nanook, open the local
Williamsburg Gazette and glance at the SPCA ad (as
I always do) and look closer - as it appears that
the dog there looks like a BMD. Well, the ad said
nuetered "Pure-Bred Mountain Dog"
Anyway, I'm leaving the house right now to check on him.
