Hi all. I usually lurk in the background and soak in all the knowledge that is shared
here on the berner-l. I thought I would join in on this thread.
We picked our girl's name before we brought her home. We had plenty of time. It was
three years from the time I first laid eyes on a beautiful Berner, till we brought one
home. This had to be a special name. We came up with Nexus. It literally means
connection or bond. Nexus is also a place where all your wishes come true.
Then we had to come up with a name that started with A. I dug into my German
background and came up with Abendstern von Bern.
Meaning, evening star of Bern.
So we have Bedro's Abendstern von Bern, who is the star of our lives.
Never did we realize how strongly we would bond with our Nexus.
Our girl will be 5 years old in 4 days. My how time flies when
you're having fun.
