I am sorry to hear of Emma's diagnosis. I'm assuming your vet made this via
protein levels in her blood. To confirm the diagnosis they need to do a
bile acid test and then a special dye xray to determine where the shunt in

seizures as my first Berner had a portosystemic shunt and had seizures. It
didn't sound quite the same, but now it sounds like it may be. There is
much hope and time for decisions! The meds will help, the diet change will
