Oh, Kenny, Are you in for a treat! Having had three wonderful Goldens myself, and thinking that they were the absolute zenith of doggydom, I was bowled over by our first Berner, Willie the Bouncing Berner Boy. As wonderful as Goldens are, Berners are exponentially even better when it comes to love and affection, friendliness, and sheer adoration. Berners may not be quite as eager to please as Goldens are, and they won't retrieve sticks out of ponds, but oh golly gee, as much as I loved my Goldens, I'm completely smitten with Berners now and can't imagine having anything else. They're just so dang cute!
