I installed it w/o issues on one server that was running MR2 on 2003 Server:
Steps:
Rebooted Server, verified everything came up clean
Stopped all BES services
Installed MR3 update
Rebooted server, verified all came up clean
Took about 20 minutes total

Upgraed our server from BES 4.1 to 5 the other day... Just realized that the
ability to sync contacts wireless has disappeared... When I go into the options
of my handheld, "Wireless Sync" is grayed out and listed as "Not Available."

Local distribution groups do not sync with 4.1 BES. They do with 5.0 I believe
