Dear authors,
In PBB-EVPN we advertise PE shared BMACs or dedicated (per-ES) BMACs. Either
way, I believe it is a good practice to advertise them as ’static’ i.e. along
with the ’sticky’ bit. That provides a natural protection against BMACs that
might be learnt locally and are not ‘managed’.

Thank you Tony.
Very helpful feedback.

The challenge for IPv4 is that I don’t see an easy way to learn dynamically
from access attachment circuits that a given ipv4 is anycast. Even for default
gateways, if they are integrated in the EVPN PE, we are good, but if they are
external and connected to a MAC-VRF, it is not so clear how to
Hi Robert and Tony,
As Wim mentioned, ipv6 anycast is something that we will add to the draft in
the next rev. There is an easy way to know if a given proxy-ND entry belongs to
an anycast address or not and disable the duplicate IP detection for those.
The challenge for IPv4 is that I don’t see

Hi Stewart,

It seems the idnits tool used upon upload is not compatiable with the newest
version (indeed, no issue was ever found in draft submission).
We have corrected those nits.
Regarding Line 614-617, we suggested to use:

Lots of thanks for an extra-prompt response.
I agree that an E-Tree service may have no leaves in its transient states.
So I am OK with not adding new restrictions.
