Last night, I hit the forward key 4 times quickly. My Squeezebox2 lost
connection to the slimserver 6.5b1 (12/30). But then the connect to
item on the squeezebox became garbled, and I can no longer connect!
The network is fine because squeezenetwork works and I can ping the
squeezebox.
How do I
It would be really nice if the search feature told you the artist and
album it found it under.
After reverting to 6.2, it rebuilt the library last night, and it
appears in the proper places.

yes, all unicode bugs are being worked on.
is there an ETA it?
it is targetted for 6.5, which would mean it is hoped to be fixed by
mid-march, as Dean has mentioned that 6.5 is planned for mid-march.

Your music library contains 527 albums with 6507 songs by 944 artists.
I've also got it logging to a file, though how you set this as a
startup option with the slim tray app, i don't know...isn't there a
start up config file somewhere ???

Hiya,
Just tried a quick and dirty fix, ie nab the select.pm file from the
6.2.2 branch. 4k vs 5k in the nightly.
Lasted a few mins longer and bombed with the same error when i hit play
on my box.
I think i'm gonna have to try and revert the full install back to the
stable branch and see what

There are some low-level issues with fixing this bug. I don't know if it will
ever be fixed. A work around is to rename your files on

I discovered that workaround but it is not really the answer. I don't
understand why it may never be fixed. I was under the impression that
unicode was a universal standard? (I am not an expert on such matters).
