Personally, I despise the alpha page bar, and would love to get rid of it.
I'm sure Dean doesn't agree. However, I'd like to start a discussion on
alternatives. Obviously the numeric pagebar is available, but not extremely
useful. Other thoughts?

SlimServer Version: 6.5b1 - 5749 - Windows 2000 - EN - cp1252
With the last 2 nightlies (1/20 and 1/21) the service does not start
after install. When I go to a command prompt and run slim.exe I get
this message:

Are you saying you can't sort on these characters sets? If so, that
would be a separate problem. Obviously if the displayed results are
unsorted, then there's no logical use for a non-numeric pagebar.
No - I'm not. I can sort on them, no problem. But

Playlists still seem to be broken for any playlists that include tracks
from whole-album flacs. Either saving a web-interface constructed
playlist or scanning a M3U causes perl to peg the CPU cycles and
slimserver is effectivly locked up. Here is the error message I'm
