I have experienced the same problem. I played half of an album (FLAC), before
playback just stopped. There wasn't any stuttering.

I experienced the same issue on one of my SB3's as well. Strangely

only a power cycle will allow it to play another (one) song. I have

Jim,
Turns out I had one track on a non-compilation album which was missing
the ARTISTSORT. So I think it's working OK for me, but I did add
myself to the bug you referenced.
FWIW, the following patch might fix your problem, I couldn't really
test it though as I no longer have a problem myself.

Does this mean you don't need more info from those of us seeing this?
The problems I'm having seem similar: playback either stops or the
current song restarts at the beginning. Both are in
I just noticed another thread, "Playback Stops Intermittently", on
this forum that sounds like the same issue I'm having.

Just thought I'd chime in. Noticing same problem (track stops midway).
Pressing play starts it up from the beginning. Happens less often (once
per night?) and is less agrravating than the old problems I was running
into pre-FW37 (where the track would contnue "playing" without

Yeah the Draytek is feature-rich.
It even has a RADIUS server built in!

Say what? Does your router support doing both WPA and WEP at the same
time? Not many do. If you have legacy WEP devices then you'll have to
use WEP with the Squeezebox.

This reminds me of problems I've seen with slimproto following a
reconnect. Could it be related to this? If so what does d_http show.

I also noticed a drop in reported signal strength going from 37 to 41.
And some of the old bi-modal signal strength behavior has returned.
The 37 signal strength is much closer to what my laptop sees in the
same location.
However, 41 seems very solid in actual performance.

Hi,
I've been running firmware 41 for a couple days. Played the SB2 for
many hours yesterday with no problems, but this morning in only a half
hour it has hiccuped once and then a couple minutes later stopped
playing. Nothing in the log file, and by the time I got over to the

WEP 128bit works
WPA with WEP with sb set to WPA doesn't work (wireless network not

Thanks for the progress. Still can't use it though as I have legacy
WEP only devices.
I have also seen this, but at the moment it is not clear where the
problem is. I have left a couple of players running on test here and it
takes several hours before they stop (so far always when I am asleep!).
