Thanks, Mark, but I am having trouble getting 6.3 to work, too. Casting

It works with the real squeezebox. But I selected the Rhapsody server
box that said to convert things to mp3 except WMA, so shouldn't
softsqueeze work too? Certainly for my ripped mp3 files

An "unable to connect" error usually means something could be wrong
with the Rhapsody app. T

Ripped tracks used to work? Have you tried it on a real
Mine seems to be from the 14th of May but I think there was some
discussion of the very last version pre MySQL/split scanner changes.
I'm happy to help debug this problem but I don't know what to look for,
everything seems fine!

I also imported my ripped CDs into Rhapsody. They no longer play in last
night's build (6/24). In fact, softsqueeze hangs if I try to play a
Rhapsody album saying "connecting..." I cannot go back with the left
arrow.

I have the same problem with 6.5 since the MySQL changes and I have
raised bug 3574 for it.
I find a very small number of tracks do play but have been unable to
detect a reason for this. I haven't found any debug options that
indicate what the problem is either!

I have been using earlier versions of 6.3 and not had this problem to
the same degree, although it was still very slow (taking a few hours to
scan a library that has 10,263 songs).
But with the 6-24 build, things seem to have gotten slower in the later
stage of scanning, when it's pulling in play

I assume your SUSE server is your internet router as well as
SlimServer? Configure your firewall to only be active on the inter
But, listening to the radio stations, it only plays one song! At the end
of each song it stops and I have to press play to get the next one. How
do I get a continuous stream?

SlimServer should detect all servers on a LAN automatically soon after
they start up. If for some reason you are firewalling your internal
LAN connections, try disabling your internal firewall. There are
several standard UPnP ports but Rhapsody also starts up an HTTP server
on a random high port
I followed the instructions in the wiki. The UPNP Server is running as
is the Windows client. But my Linux 6.3 slim server still does not see
Rhapsody. Do I have to run Rhapsody on my Linux machine?
Also, what firewall ports do I need to open?

I have encountered this same problem now with a couple of the 6.5b1
builds this week, including the latest one (6-24). Everything seems to
work OK, install, re-scan DB from empty (always best with beta
software), all the music gets scanned and the playlists built.

as for uninstall, the usual routine for Mac OSX does exist: Drag the
icon to the trash. Pref files, caches etc exist in the proper
locations, as it is for any application on OSX; that is why there is a
Log and Cache folder on the system even before slimserver comes along.
As for why OSX does

I noticed that SlimServer puts it's templates and caches in the
Users/yourname/Library/Caches/SlimServer/ directory if you use your own
iTunes. Deleting this DlimServer directory and the
Users/yourname/Library/SlimDevices directory, rebooting, and
reinstalling SlimServer 6.3.0 last nightly build h
