Ok ... I killed the process via Task Manager.
Then I ran the scanner as instructed from the command line.
However, in that time, the server started up another Scanner process.
So that by the time I kicked off mine manually, there are two
Scanner.exe processes running. One under my user account,
Quality and size of the original image will have a lot to do with the
end quality of the resized image.
I've never noticed a problem with the quality level, but I don't use a
100 pixel width for thumbnails, preferring something like 125 or 130
pixels so that I can actually see the image.

"$newImageData = $newImage->jpeg (95);" where 95 is the quality, from

In the past, a complete rescan has taken about an hour or so. Also,
I've added new tracks and they are appearing in my library, yet
BTW - I wasn't trying to be rude or negative, just some first
impressions.
Browsing on the SB iteslf is definitely smoother and faster, my only
gripe is memory use. Slim.exe is now sitting at 81,988K in task
manager. MySqlD.exe is using 17,192k.
That's with a library of 8320 songs.

I'm running 6.5b on a KuroBox with 128MB RAM and a 266Mhz processor. I
had some problems, but only when running Random Play while transcoding,
and then fixed them by enabling the option to fork the audio stream
process.

I finally decided to go with 6.5B1 to test out the new F/W functionality
post F/W 55.
My 6.31 install used to consume about 60Mb of RAM with a lot of the
unecessary plug-ins disabled. I was kinda expecting 6.51 to be even
"Slimmer" in terms of memory usage, since all the Scanner code has been

and both are r9424 not the latest r9471.
