[SlimDevices: Beta] Web UI broken on ubuntu/6.5 svn

2007-01-19 Thread Patrick Dixon
I've just rebuilt my server using ubuntu edgy and I'm having a problem with the web UI, which never refreshes the lower section of the player pane - I've tried using both fishbone & default skins. I initially installed 6.5.0 from the debian despositry, and although it isn't anywhere near as strai

This problem has been around for a long time. I have five units (all SB2) and I get the problem only on the wireless connected units. Placing additional wireless repeaters seems to help but doesn't solve the problem. I am considering hard wiring the house rather than suffer this irritation. One th

Hi Just updated from 6.5.0 to 6.5.1 and suddenly SlimServer doesn't display norwegian letters correctly (æ, ø and å). Not the web interface language(norwegian) itself, but the name of my norwegian Podcasts. It worked fine yesterday, what's changed? Louis -- Louisiana --

I'm not sure exactly what the problem is but... I can tell you that slimserver checks for the existence of certain files and directories to determine whether or not it was installed from the deb. In your case, you are running from your svn dir but it will think it's the deb. This can result in

OK, thanks for that. It seems slightly odd to do it that way, particularly when the rpm is completely different and works so well. The rpm is also a lot less painful to install. I guess I'll have to remove the deb and go back to the old start-up script I used to use if I'm going to continue bug

I've removed the links to the svn copy, and updated from 'testing' for now (shouldn't 6.5.1 be in 'stable' now it's released?) and all works as expected. To be fair, once the dependencies are all sorted and the problems with bad perl files in edgy sorted, it's very easy to update from the deb. I

My guess is it's a bug in cuesheet support, and possibly only a subset of that. You may want to change the title of this thread to include "cuesheet" so you can attract the attention of fellow cuesheet users. As it is, all I can tell you is that it works fine in a one-file-per-track setup. I do
