Some preference might be borked. Would you mind uploading your
server.prefs file and tell us the players (MAC address or name, if you've
set one) which work or not?

I'm running SqueezeCenter on a Windows 2K Server box.
I've got it setup running as a server; currently running as me, which
IMO (I'm not running iTunes) is a bad idea.
So I created a user SqueezeCenter, made it a member of guests only,
made sure it had read permissions on my music directories,
I downloaded SC 7. So far so good. You guys did a great job!
Not sure if its a known issue or not. There's a little bug with the
song progress bar in SqueezeCenter. Well, I assume its a bug and not a
feature. It throbs or it retracts and expands horizontally when a
song is playing. Its a minor

and found nothing about it. When I want to ajust the Brightness when
on setting in SC7, it only works properly when I select 0 (dark).
However, if I select 1, 2, 3 or 4 it

You're right, this seems like a bug. I will file one, thanks.
So you are also seeing this? It seems to be working fine for me.
I'm assuming this is with the default skin?

You're right. So the problem is that SqueezeCenter thinks that my
Squeezebox is idle, even though it isn't?

I have just upgraded to todays nightly and now when I select A Genre
Various Artists every single album in my library tagged as Various
Artists (ie. Compilation=1) is returned. This happens for every Genre I
select that includes at least one album tagged as Various Artists.
The strangest
I've just changed
Filter genres at the album track level to be Only show tracks or
albums matching a selected genred for the artist.
Now both the web gui and the player's displays do what I'd expect them
to, i.e. just show the Various Artist's album tagged with the genre
I've selected.

What distribution and FF version are you using? We've had reports of
SC7 misbehaving in FF/Linux as well. I think some distro/FF
combinations use a slightly larger font setting than others. It's
looking fine on FF2/Ubuntu.
Actually, in addition to the SN

Great catch! When I reported this bug last month I was only looking at
the SB via remote, and not via the web ui. And when I said earlier this
week that it appeared to be fixed I had only been looking at the web ui.
Now I look at both and see exactly what you're seeing, ie, expected
behavior
So I created a user SqueezeCenter, made it a member of guests only,
Why aren't you using the default SYSTEM account? That's what it was made for.
Is there anywhere else it needs read or read/write permissions?
That's pretty much it. There's a registry key, but it's only used by
SqueezeTray -
feature. It throbs or it retracts and expands horizontally when a
song is playing. Its a minor issue, I know.
I use Firefox 2.0.0.11
The problem goes away if I use IE 7
Yes, it's known. Seems to be a problem with how FF renders updates to the page.
I only remember having seen it in FF, but
