After migrating to a new computer, I had the same issue crop up once
again. Deleting all the old versions of Slimserver and Squeezecenter
didn't do the trick this time (including the cache files) so the final
step necessary was to delete the old user preferences found in:

No, firmware 40 will not
I have tried serveral times now. After entering the encryption key it
takes 12 sec to connect to the network - last step is to get an IP. But
no matter when I shout down the router - the only reaction I get is
Connection problem Try again - or choose another network.

No,
The new Transporter features that Sean's been working hard are
targetted to the 7.1 release of SqueezeCenter. Version 40 (and its
follow-ons) will appear in those nightly builds.
The 7.0.1 version will include some minor, critical bug fixes to the
Transporter firmware. Look for an update

Unfortunately, the firmware version numbers go up in only one
dimension, so you may see confusing firmware numbers in the two
branches;
This might be a good time to fix that, now that the server version
branching has been overhauled.

Andy, With recent changes to images used for the Jive interface, have
PNGs been completely eliminated for thumbnail use?

How is the performance looking?

PNGs were gone a while back, but we have

about 1.5-2K whereas the uncompressed GD files were 12K. So they
transfer much faster and render almost as fast as GD images.
