I really think it's the anti-virus program's problem and not SC. They are all different and I don't know how any program can keep up with them even week to week. Then you also have the responsibility of keeping them up to date. How can they know if you keep it up to date or not? Just had one

I agree that it's difficult for anti-virus programs to keep ahead of the game, but that was not really the point of my post. My first point was re the firewall warning. My second point (which you responded on), was in reference to McAfee Viruscan. I had to downgrade Viruscan from real time

Fixed! I'm not sure why, but originally a lot of the mp3s in my music folder had different permissions (including many that were executable!). So I changed the permissions to 644 (user read write, group other read only). That did it! -- mmcmonster

I think it is the baseline for the work planned for 7.2 (see http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/SoftwareRoadmap ) and for any development work which is done separately. The new work is merged into main line when ready for more public use. -- bpa

Switch off the SBC. Then hold the Power On + Volume Up keys to revert back to the last known good firmware. In my case I went back to 2641, then I was able to upgrade beyond 2649. Later firmware revs have been fine. -- oreillymj
