On 7.3, I figured out why I can't get softsqueeze to work, but everyone
else can.-- I use primarily WMAs. only 192 or 128 kbps WMAs. It still
works with mp3s.
Now I see that I can try installing LAME to get it to work with
softsqueeze, but why is it that 7.2 + softsqueeze + wma's work fine..

Andy -
Thanks for the response. Is there something different I need to setup
to try to get it working? Is there somewhere that I can read about the
new transcoding stuff? Are there new features or just a new
architecture behind the scenes?

I'm sure nobody tested WMA Lossless with the new 7.3 transcoding changes
yet, since none of the developers use that format. We'll make sure to
test it this week.

Hi -
It's entirely possible that I don't have something set up properly, but
my WMA lossless stuff worked under 7.2, but it doesn't under 7.3. I am
running Windows Server 2008 and have installed its codec for WMA by
installing the desktop experience feature. Still no joy. FLAC works

Richard, I've only experienced a spontaneous reboot on 3220 once more
since my original post - and I'm almost certain that was linked to
trying to sync the Controller and another player during playback (the

I see sort of the opposite.
If the controller is in the cradle with the screensaver running it

I've seen that a few times, but not the last time I upgraded. Usually
it is when I've done something more drastic like uninstalling prior to
installing that it does it (and I really expect it to in that case).

I think that there is another tag for sorting - something like
SortArtist, SortAlbum, etc. My unerstanding is that if those are set
then they are used instead of the regular Artist, album, etc. fields.
I use jaikoz to do tagging and it sets the sort* ones to last, first

No, am afraid the automated testing failed again so that firmware has
not been released yet. From the logs I get emailed it looks like
someone turned off the player used as part of the tests!

I think Schiegl built r3253 manually, rather than waiting for the
system to post it to /update/firmware/7.3.
If
downloaded the version from 27oct and all working again! Thanks very
much ..

Screen savers are all out of wack when using the SBC.
When controlling the SBR the screen saver works normally.
When controlling the SB3 the screen saver works except if you have it
display "Now Playing" it doesn't show album art. It's there until it
swirches to screen saver and then it uses

Hi,
i don't know if this is worth to file a bug (i realize playback is
labeled beta so i do understand), but the playback of 24/96-flac files
on the SBC (r3253) will crash it - hangs for a few seconds until the
watchdog kicks in. It's no bandwidth issue (almost 100% if located near
the AP) and no

On Friday I did find the cause of the reboots, they had been causes by
r3225. So now I'm a little worried about your reports of earlier
firmware rebooting too. Any information that can help track down the
cause would be most appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.
I'd be interested to know if you see any problems rebooting, as
mentioned in this thread:
